You could argue that your kid's school is in direct competition for funding, you might have a point. The deal with Success though is that they are half about education and half about political advocacy and they are really pushing more people to apply to lotteries and get upset about the fact they can't get their kids into a Success school so that they can get support for large scope school reform legislation and overhauls. The more they get people interested, the closer they are to achieving their goal.
