I get a rush from doing a good job!

I am not gonna use this forum to brag, but last week I was Race Director of the my running club's 10 mile race.  For the 15th year in a row the Prospect Park Track Club put on the Cherry Tree 10 miler and Relay.  Thank's Peter for taking that great picture!

I did a lot of work.  From figuring out what kind of giveaway to giveaway to calculating how much water to buy.  I did some heavy lifting and long driving.

I relied on the experiecne of my friends and teammates who did it before and benefited from the spontaneous genius of those who I did not even know were helping me.

In the end, over 1,000 people had a good time because of my hard work.

This was the best high I ever had, a good addiction.

  1. I am always so grateful to those who put in so much work "behind the scenes" to make a race sucessful. You probably helped someone run their first race and another PR! Way to go!
