Look at all that Green

No it is not about St Patrick's  Day.  Not about the day Uncle Sam gets all the green he needs to run the country.

Today was the 5th annual "Green and Healthy Walkathon"  The ended a week were kids in all grades learned about healthy food and lifestyle choices.  They also learned how they can help protect and preserve their environment  and nature in general.

 Green & Healthy School-Wide
WALKATHON

Friday, April 15 beginning at 8:50 a.m. our entire school community will walk the inside loop in Prospect Park to raise money for three organizations - the Rainforest Action NetworkEast New York Farms and Doctors Without Borders. Flyers with all info, including pledge forms for collecting money from family and friends are available in the main office and the rack outside the Parent Center. No amount is too small; helping our students feel proud and hopeful about their contribution to the larger society, and their ability to make the world a better place is huge.

I could not think of a better place to take a photo than when we crossed the new GREEN Prospect Park West Class I Protected Bike Lane.
