THEY PUT MAYONNAISE ON MY HAMBURGER!!!!

We killed three birds with one stone.  The kids wanted to show Mom Gettysburg , we needed to get out of Brooklyn before it broke 100 degrees for the 3rd day in a row, and we need to go for a swim.

It was nice to see Gettysburg without the distraction of 3 buses of 5th graders. Above is the monument for the Brooklyn 14th.  The Brooklyn 14th is the same Regiment that parks itself in the Park Slope Armory.  It is 20 short blocks from my house.  75% of it is filled with an awesome running track.

We chose a cheap hotel  motel with a pool.  The kids loved it.  We had the pool to ourselves for most of the time.

This was an "indoor pool".  But when it is 99 degrees outside the unconditioned inside is like a greenhouse.  And do you see those windows.  They are guest rooms.  The boxes below them are AC units.  They were blowing more hot air into the pool room.  The cool water was very nice.

It made me think that it could be fun to check into a flea bag motel in Brooklyn that has a pool.  Just for the pool.

So on the way there we stopped for lunch.  There are no dinners in Central Penn, only "Family Restaurants".  The kids had hamburgers.  They both screamed when they arrived, "THEY PUT MAYONNAISE ON MY HAMBURGER!!!!, who would want to put mayonnaise on a hamburger?"   Fat People?
