We had a fun time at the "Painted Pot"

What a great gift card.  A tile worth $50 at the Painted Pot!  The girl made a mosaic and the boy stuffed the stuffing into a stuffed animal.  They enjoyed, I just wish it took longer than 45 minutes.  Not much to do on this frozen day.

I also got the car inspected this morning.  I take my car to Lee Brothers in Carroll Gardens.   I am so glad the Village Voice got their address wrong in their great review.  They would get too busy.  Anyway they are my kinds of mechanic, I once asked Kenny Lee how much it would cost to bang out some of the dents in my 10 year old shit box.  He said he would not do it. "I know where you live, Fresh Direct trucks will just smash you car as soon as I fix it."

Anyway I took a quick photo of his "waiting room/office".  If I ever decide to paint a still life it would be this.  I love the combination of auto parts and Asian herbs.  The peeling paint makes the wall look alive.

  2. If you run, perhaps you'd consider coming here for the Crazy Legs Run sometime. It's named after a long time athletic director named Elroy "Crazy Legs" Hersh, who also played his college ball here in the '50's.

  3. Did the car pass? The waiting room at yoru mechanics looks like the one at mine, does he have candles and such in there also?

  4. Denise, I think are mechanics are the same but different. The parallel universe thing. I passed so fast I should not have walked home from Smith St.
