Hormones with Feet, NOT

Today I had the pleasure of being a judge at a 6th grade science fair at the School for Democracy and Leadership on the Campus of George Wingate High School.  These kids really rose to the occasion, they ware so proud of their work.  My favorite part was giving out the awards.  They ware so happy to hear their name get called.

Isn't that a great feeling......

You know when you are eligible for an award or just waiting for you name to be drawn out of a hat and you see the presenter open his mouth and you just imagine hearing your name and it actually is.

So a good friend of mine teaches High School.  She said when the freshmen show up "they have to be broken"  She said that middle school kids are just hormones with feet.  She was wrong, these were sweet kids.

Anyway, on my way there I passed Downstate Hospital.  I love this sign.  I wasn't gonna take pictures of 12 year old kids that I did not know but......

  1. Isn't it fun to see kids get excited over jobs well done??? I teach middle school, and love working with kids that age (at least most days!).
