I walked a couple of blocks and took a better photo of the scene of the crime
Speaking of life and death, the building across the street is a fancy restaurant. Not long ago it was a funeral home.

A pair of Merlin Falcons came to nest in our neighborhood a few years ago. One morning I opened the door to find our deck covered in wings and legs and heads of songbirds - the Merlins were using our trees as their dining area. I screamed.

Meh, they have to eat too. It made me laugh because this country woman has never seen a hawk that up close and personal. All I ever see is a pile of feathers. The perpetrator is long gone.
ReplyDeleteWe often see hawks in these things called trees. Sometimes in the sky. We usually miss them during their meals.
