Business as Usual (for now)

This is a horrible cell phone photo.
That is actually a normal looking woman.
So this morning on mile 5 of 20 I decided to make a short detour and swing by Zuccotti Park, the current home of Occupy Wall Street.

I am not going to try explain the Occupy Wall Street movement here.  I will let you do that yourself.  I am just going to say that these people what this country, their country to be a better place.  Just like the people who stand with the Tea Party.

I could not stay long so just stopped to take a quick photo.  I asked the women at right if that was OK, and she said "of course, that is why I am here."

We spoke a little.  I actually confessed. that if I were 15 or 20 or more years younger I would have been there every day.  But now I am afraid.  I am afraid of being beat up and maced  by the police for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.  I have kids... I have to be there for them.

She talked me down.  She said that for the most part if you don't want to get arrested or maced you just have to listen to the cops.

For the most part.......

This video really disturbs me.  If I still had my old job I would have been there when this happened. It was about 100 feet from my office.  That is not Wall St.  It is University Place and 12th St.
