Maybe the dingo ate it.

Until yesterday I did not know a dingo was a real thing.  I only knew the word "dingo" from one of the many classic lines from Sienfeld.  The dingo ate your baby.  There happens to be some sort of factual reference there but I can't figure it out.

Today I met a dingo.  The just moved into the Prospect Park Zoo.  The new exhibit is part of the recently renovated Discovery Trail.

An excellent write up and better photos can be found in the Park Slope Patch.

I really like the Prospect Park Zoo.  There is a lot to like.  I like it because it is not the Bronx Zoo, not the Central Park Zoo and not the Aquarium.  Those are all nice places, but they get filled with visitors real fast.  By visitors, I mean tourists.  Today the Prospect Park Zoo was fill with people from Brooklyn who were looking for something to do on this final day of Spring Break.  There were lots of grandparents taking their grandkids to the same place they took their own kids 30 years ago.

It is also less than a mile from my front door.  On the way there we stopped for lunch at the Audubon Center.  This was the view from the deck  Spring is really about to spring.

  5. The Azaria Chamberlain case is a tragedy! Her mother, Lindy, and father, Michael, were accused of killing their own baby, and vilifed for years because they were Seventh Day Adventists. Lindy was then jailed for it, then exonerated after a few Royal Commissions. The movie 'A cry in the wilderness' (US title, where 'Evil angels' was the Australian title) shows how cruel the Australian media and public were. Meryl Streep did the best Australian accent I have ever heard.
