The best swing in the world

It took me like 10 clicks to get that photo.  It is the new playground on Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park.  I wanted to get a shot of my daughter in the air and Ellis Island. When she got off she told me it was the best swing in the world.  I asked  her why.  Her description was 5 minutes long.

Swings are very important to 10 year olds.  Ya ever see the expression on a kids face when they see that a swing is available.

All the words below the photo where written by my daughter when I asked her if she wanted to be a "guest blogger".

The swings in that park are the awesomest swings in the world because they are hard, flat and not sinky, so it makes it feel really stable when you sit.  The swings even feel better then other swings when you sit!

Also; they are low, but not too low; so that your leg’s could reach the ground to give you a good kick-of start, but when you are swinging your legs up and down to push you they don’t touch the ground and stop you from swinging!  And it’s so hard to find a swing like that!

And another of the awesome reasons that those swings are so awesome is that they are PERFECT to jump off of!  They are a little slippery so you sort-of glide of and so there’s no work to it!

Also the most awesomest thing of all is that the floor is soft, and rubbery, and in the shape of a bowl, so when you’re at the top of the swing you could just step off!  And I have never ever seen a swing like that, and I’ve been to A LOT of play-grounds!

Also, another awesome thing is that their so many of the swings you never have to wait on line to get an awesome swing!  That eliminates the worst part of swinging, and you find it in almost all the other playgrounds in New York City!

And, the swings are grouped in groups of two, so you could easily find a spot for you and your friend, and not have to separate.

And the final way these swings are SO awesome is that the view is REALLY beautiful!  So you can actually look at something instead of just seeing other kids having fun!

P.S.  typing lollipop is fun.

  1. Your daughter is right, the view is beautiful.
And you are right, it is SO hard to get a good photo of a person on a swing, but this one is great.
And I think "most awesomest" is going to be my phrase of the week. I love it.
