This is the moment

This morning I went out for a nice regular run. When I say a regular run, I mean just me and no kids, no agenda….. Just me and Prospect Park. My plan was simply and slowly to run the upper loop of the Park.

When I entered the park I actually Park I actually was singing the old Kiss song “I am back in the New York Grove”, with the emphasis on BACK. My toe hurt a little, but if I was not thinking about it I probably would not have even noticed it.

The high light of the run was when I made the turn and entered the Center Drive. It has been weeks since I had been alone in a quiet big place. I actually said aloud, “This is the moment”.

Thank you Fredrick Olmsted, I missed your creation.
