Van Courtland Park or 5 hours, whichever comes first...

Tomorrow there is a Cross Country Race with the Prospect Park Youth Running Club. I figured that I would run there. I wanted to get in a 5 hour run, so there were lots of subways along the way so I could stop at any place. I stopped looking at my watch when I got to The Bronx. When my foot touched the curb at Van Courtland Park I had run for 5 hours and 5 seconds exactly. It was a good run, a nice easy 20 miles. I feel ready for the NYC Marathon in 3 weeks.

One thing about this route. The neighborhood just North of the George Washington Bridge should be called San Fransisco.

  1. Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my humble little blog. You won: it is indeed Brooklyn Heights.

Love the name of your blog.
I also like the site Map my route, which I know although I am not you. ;) I use it to map walks and bike routes, even casual ones. It is quite motivating even if I haven't really exercized in a "well-thought way" in a while.

    Have fun with your run!

  2. Why should it be called San Francisco?
