I was up all night

Mostly, I could not get to sleep.

I like to have a bowl of cereal before I go to bed. It usually settles me down. I tried a new cereal. Arrowhead Mills Breadshop Natural Foods Mocha Almond Crunch Granola. It was on sale and if figured I would try it. It was not bad, but not that good.

But WTF look at the ingredients.
Ingredients: whole grain oats, cane juice, expeller pressed canola oil, brown rice flour, almonds, cocoa powder (processed with alkali), natural espresso flavor, other natural flavors, cinnamon, oat bran, rice bran, sea salt, barley malt, natural vitamin e and ascorbic acid (for freshness).

Looks harmless but what is natural espresso flavor? I have a feeling that is freeze dried coffee. Where was this stuff when I was in grad school.

I am trying to find out what "natural espresso flavor" is. Not so much info on the Internet. I found from BoxBabble out that it is unique to the brand of cereal. So I only know that this is a unique ingredient to this cereal. Hummmm

Well I am off for a 15 mile, marathon training run. I will come home and take a nap.
