Landmarks

The little circle under the 7 is the exact location of the 7 mile mark of the NYC Marathon.  It continues across the street as a yellow line.

Behind the fence is the Old Stone House.  It was fought over in the Revolutionary War. The building that is there now was rebuilt from the original stones was the first clubhouse for the Brooklyn Dodgers.

  1. My husband still cheers for the Dodgers based on the fact that they used to be in Brooklyn.

  2. Kay, before they were at Ebbett's Field they played a few blocks from where I live. There was a trolley that ran pas the stadium. To get to the game one had to "dodge" the trolley. They were the Brooklyn Trolley Dodgers.

  3. Even more arcane, my brother rooted for the Dodgers because of their connection to the Montreal Royals minor league team.

  4. I presume that this is the revolutionary war structure that you mentioned to me last weekend?
