Frogs and Sheep in Brooklyn

Yes we have frogs and sheep.  After I did not run the Brooklyn Half  I took a bike ride with my son to the Zoo in Prospect Park.

This frog was not even a cage or anything.

Like a wild frog.

I just reached down and zoomed in.

Notice the reflection in the water.  It was sunny.  That was like the only moment of sunshine Brooklyn has had since some time in the Winter.

Then, not 20 feed away, but behind a fence we watched a sheep get a hair cut.  The whole thing took about 20 minutes.  The guy said that is about a sweater and a half on the ground.  Makes you appreciate sheep.
The sheerer did some sort of Vulcan thing to the sheep's neck and it just laid there while he did his thing.

If you around next week they will sheer the other sheep.

This city boy wants to know under what circumstances you would want a sheep to be so compliant.

  3. That guy was an expert at shearing sheep. I've seen it done without that expertise and that was not a pretty picture.--Inger
